In 1962, two teachers, Erma & Larry Pettis, set out to find a summer business—maybe a hardware store they thought. But when they saw an ad for a Fox Inground Pool Dealership, their path took an unexpected turn. At a time when inground pools were considered a luxury for the rich and famous, they took a leap of faith—launching Pettis Pools in rural Hilton, NY.
Fast forward 63 years, and that leap has grown into:
- Two retail locations
- Over 70 dedicated employees
- Thousands of stunning pool installations
- Decades of bringing families together and making lifelong friends
Carrying the Pettis Tradition into the Future
Since 2012, the second generation of the Pettis family has been proudly leading the business, continuing our commitment to honest service, great value, and genuine hospitality.
And then, in 2024, we ensured that the Pettis legacy continues for the next 60 years by carefully selecting two new partners who share our vision and values. Together, we look forward to serving you with the same dedication that has defined Pettis Pools for generations.
